William Shaheen, CPA
President & CEO
One Christmas when Bill was a boy, his stepfather gave him and his siblings an unusual gift: stock in Genesee Brewery. Bill was intrigued. And the rest is history. Today, he has more than 30 years of top management experience including SEC reporting, annual report preparation, financial statement preparation and analysis, tax preparation, corporate controllership, management of operating and capital budgets totaling more than $200 million, budgeting, and management consulting.

Billy Shaheen
Partner – Business Development
Billy has grown up around this industry, and specifically Whitney & Company. He enjoys getting to know clients on a professional level and having a meaningful impact on their lives. Today, he has eight years of direct experience in the financial services industry, along with an extensive background in business start-ups, plus a lifetime of learning at his father's side (Bill Shaheen). That upbringing has made the financial services profession second nature for Billy and sharpened his instincts in a business he's grown to love. He's witnessed firsthand the evolution of the profession through the years, from an industry of money managers to one that requires a more holistic planning process and closer client relationships.

Christopher Radigan
Partner – Portfolio Manager
Christopher has more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry including responsibilities in trading, equity research, portfolio management and relationship management. He was drawn to Whitney & Company in part because of its structure, in which advisors are compensated not for selling products, but for giving sound advice and managing clients' money.

Robert Pickels, CFA®
Partner – Chief Investment Officer
Rob grew up in upstate New York, dividing his time between academics, athletics and outdoor activities. As someone who is both competitive and curious, Rob was drawn to financial markets and the challenge of investing at an early age. He graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Economics and moved to New York City to pursue an investment career.

Adam Magee, CFP®
Partner – Director of Wealth Planning
Adam has more than 20 years of experience in the investment management industry with responsibilities ranging from wealth planning, research, and portfolio management to compliance and practice management. He earned the CFP® shortly after starting his career and eventually transitioned to a practice management role overseeing operations while maintaining wealth planning responsibilities. While he enjoyed the teamwork and focus on company growth, utilizing technology and implementing processes to enhance company efficiency, and practice management, Adam felt something was missing. After a short stint in the practice management roles, he joined Whitney & Company in 2017 where he is leading the firms' financial planning efforts. Joining Whitney & Company filled the void he was feeling and allowed him to get back to his planning roots at a firm with a high standard for client care that matches his own. Adam is motivated by helping individuals and families create the financial strategies that best suit their unique lifestyle, work-life, and family life. He and fellow planners strive to make client's financial pictures clear and uncomplicated so they, and their family, can live their best life.

It's important to him to help clients have a fuller understanding of the hows and whys, while making them easy to understand. Bill spends a majority of his time developing investment ideas and managing the firm's portfolio, while also cultivating new client relationships. He brings with him an inherent passion for the “game” he sees as core to his profession: The challenge of evaluating potential assets. Applying a disciplined approach.
